Why should I consider the XLe?
If you have never used OCS due to pricing or size constraints, the XLe's combined compact size, price, features and performance will open up a whole new host of applications. XLe is less expensive than buying both a separate PLC and Operator Interface and its competitive with conventional controls that use relays, push buttons, and lamps.

What is MicroSD™ and what is its benefit ?
The XLe is the first industrial product to use MicroSD™ , a dime-sized removable mass storage card. You may also know it as TransFlash. You or your users will be able to record and store data and upload programs and machine recipes quickly.

Can I expand XLe I/O?
Yes. You can add SmartStix I/O via the CsCAN network port or connect to off-the-shelf serial I/O. Another option is to network two or more XLe's.

What if I need Ethernet?
You can purchase the optional Ethernet add-on module. The Ethernet module can be added to any XLe - even an XLe that is already installed.

How is the XLe programmed?
The XLe is programmed like every member of the extensive OCS family with the industry-recognized single FREE software program, Cscape™.
