HORNER APG RELEASES NEW FIRMWARE VERSION 12.4X FOR X SERIES OCS

Horner APG Releases New Firmware Version 12.4 for X Series OCS

Horner APG announces the availability of Firmware Revision 12.4 for the following OCS controllers; XLe, XLt, XL6, NX, LX, and QX.

• This is a very significant new release offering a variety of new features and product improvements.
• Users of the XLe, XLt, XL6, NX, LX and QX – who want to take advantage of the new features and bug fixes described in the table below, should download and install the new firmware.
• Firmware Version 12.4 is recommended to be used with Cscape™ Version 8.1B and later.
• The new firmware is available to download from our Cscape™ download page.
• New Fail Safe feature provides memory protection. Click for more.

The files are in the form of self-extracting executables. When executed, these files will automatically extract and install the firmware to the appropriate Cscape™ folder. Once the files are installed, Cscape must be started. With your OCS model connected through a serial connection, run the Firmware Update Wizard from the Cscape™ FILE MENU, and Cscape will prompt you through the process of updating your firmware.

A Note about Firmware Updates:

This firmware has been thoroughly tested, and every precaution has been taken to prevent the introduction of new issues that may be problematic in your application.  It is always important for customers to perform their own internal system testing prior to deployment of new firmware.
