Cscape™ Software Version 9 and Firmware Update
• If you choose to install Cscape 9.0 and retain previous versions of Cscape, you must move the previous versions to new folder(s) prior to installing Cscape 9.0.
• Backup all application files (.csp) prior to using Cscape 9. Once application files are saved in Cscape 9, they can no longer be opened with previous versions of Cscape.
• Note: If you are an EnvisionRV 2.0 user, Cscape 9 is going to require EnvisionRV 3.0 which is yet to be released.
Horner APG attempts to ensure full upward compatibility for new releases of Cscape. However, prior to deploying any new software package, users should take necessary steps to validate that the new software does not introduce problems in their application.

Some of the new features of Cscape 9 include:
Full Integration of IEC Languages
Cscape 9 has full integration of IEC language editing. Choose between Advanced Ladder or one of the five IEC-61131 standard languages (SFC, FBD, LD, ST, IL) while editing in the main Cscape window with all it's advantages like Project Navigator or Tab system.

MJ2 as a Programming Port
Any XL series user can now switch between MJ1 or MJ2 being the Default Programming Port. This feature is available on XL series units and is targeted for users of communication add-on cards (which occupy the MJ1 port). Now when MJ2 is selected the user can still:
• Monitor/debug
• Download/upload projects
• Use Envision RV/FX

Project Toolbox
Project Toolbox is our new approach to programming in Cscape. New dockable window allows a faster and easier access to all instructions and function blocks.
Drag & Drop technique simplifies the programming process, whether it is Advanced Ladder or IEC project.
Recipes

Cscape 9 has extended recipe facilities incorporated. Recipes are supported by logic blocks (load & save) and graphic objects (load, save, edit and view). Each recipe is stored as a separate CSV file on the removable media card.
And much more.
