New Large Screen Color-Touch Series
The OCS400, 500 and 600 series adds large
screen, high resolution color-touchscreens to the Operator
Control Station (OCS)* product line. The new large screen
Color-Touch OCS products feature 8", 10", and
12" displays, 800 x 600 resolution, over 32,000 colors,
a standard Ethernet port, a CompactFlash (CF) slot and seven
function keys. I/O ptions include SmartStack I/O using the
fiber optic FOX I/O system and the new SmartStix I/O. The
Cscape Windows-based software combines ladder logic programming
and graphics in one development system and allows easy portability
of applications among all SVGA models, providing effortless
scalability.
The SVGA Color-Touch OCS integrates the
features and functionality of color operator interfaces
and programmable controllers using a singleprogramming software.
Color-Touch OCS provides fully functional ladder logic capability,
powerful graphics objects to quickly and simply build panel
replacement screens, the ability to import and animate itmaps
to build sophisticated screens, and the ability to import
fonts for multi-language applications.For process monitoring
applications,Color-Touch OCS supports charting, trending
and alarm management, and data can be stored on CompactFlash.
The operator interface used in the large
screen Color-Touch OCS series is an SVGA color LCD display
(TFT) with a resistive 8.4", 10.4" or 12.1"
touchscreen. It has one dedicated and seven configurable
function keys, offering the advantages of both a touchscreen
and a function key based display. For advanced pplications
requiring motion video, a video option will be available
in the future at an added cost.This option will provide
four NTSC/PAL video inputs. In addition to the application
graphics, live video from any NTSC/PAL source camera,VCR,
vision sensor) can be shown on the display.

I/O, Communication Options for Any
Application
Choose SmartStack I/O, SmartStix
I/O or use both with a Color-Touch OCS.Accommodate up to
20 SmartStack I/O modules using the fiber optic FOX I/O
system or use SmartStix I/O, a terminal-block style I/O
for applications requiring large numbers of remote digital
I/O. SmartStix I/O connects to any Color-Touch OCS CsCAN
network port. In addition to the CsCAN port that also allows
you to network OCS units, there are many other communication
connectors. An Ethernet TCP/IP port supports several industrial
protocols including Modbus/TCP, CsCAN over Ethernet and
Ethernet Global Data.Three serial ports
support Modbus/RTU slave and master, ASCII Read/Write and
CsCAN serial protocol.
