Once just a handful of people, operating out of a small building, Horner APG has grown and matured over the past 20 years. With our headquarters in Indianapolis, IN USA (now at 59 S. State Ave.), we are today a global operation…with divisions in Cork, Ireland (known as Horner Europe), and India (Horner Engineering India Private Limited), plus worldwide sales offices in Brazil, Australia, and China.
Horner APG specializes in the global automation market. Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), integrators, and end-users are our customers…from various industries…everything from pharmaceutical companies to oil/gas, food, construction, and more. Our products include: Operator Control Stations (OCS…an all-in-one integrated controller); Conveyor Controllers for use with brushed and brushless rollers; Horner-brand products that can be used with GE Fanuc programmable controllers; and the TIU range of operator interface stations that support over 100 brands of programmable controllers, motion control products and drives. Being the leader in providing all-in-one control, Horner APG offers the widest range of integrated control products in the world.
Horner APG is part of Horner Electric Inc., founded in 1949 by George and Mary Horner. Horner APG’s leader is Phil Horner, the couple’s eldest son. The Industrial Sales and Service Group is directed by their other son, Alan. Both Alan and Phil grew up working in their family business…and later developed their own areas of expertise. Phil's interest is in the direction of industrial control systems and related products while Alan's remains with the service and repair aspect that the company was founded on. The ISS Division now comprises the Apparatus repair shop, Field Service, Electro-Mechanical Diagnostic Services (EMDS) and Indiana Fan & Fabrication.
