LX280, the New Monochrome Touchscreen OCS—Is an Instant
Hit!
The new
LX280 model is the first monochrome touchscreen added
to Horner's extensive Operator Control Station (OCS) product
line. Customer reaction to the LX series has been tremendous
and several large volume OEMs have already committed to using
the LX. The LX series has a faster scan rate and uses cost
effective SmartStix I/O. LX280 became available June 2004
at a cost of $795 (USD). A color version will be available

New RCS116 CsCAN Network Base Connects SmartStack I/O to LX
The new
RCS116 is a companion product that provides SmartStack I/O scanning
and co-processing capabilities to the LX series. Both the LX280
and LX300 OCS touchscreens utilize CsCAN for the I/O connection.
The RCS116 is identical physically to the existing RCS210 and RCS250
models, but comes with a lower price and a smaller memory complement
(16Kb) suitable for I/O scanning and co-processing. With the RCS116,
the LX can take advantage of the 50+ models of SmartStack I/O currently
available-accessing the I/O over the CsCAN network.

Priced at just
$995(USD), the LX300 provides greater visual readability than competing
low-cost STN color LCDs. Plus, it's compact—measuring just
7" W x 5.5" H x 2" D. This makes LX300 the perfect
solution for machines with small panel areas. In addition, both
the LX280 and LX300 units connect I/O using the high-speed CsCAN
Network.
