RTU/Modbus Slave and Master Modules |
|
HE693RTU940 The RTU900
and 940 are RTU/Modbus slave modules. Both allow RTU/Modbus
communications with either RS-232 or RS-485. The RTU900 is the
standard available model while the RTU940 is equipped with an internal
14.4 kbaud modem. These modules enable a Modbus master, such as Horner's RTM705, to access PLC reference data as though it were Modbus I/O. This data may be accessed using standard Modbus commands such as "Read/Force Coils" and "Read/Preset Registers". Access to Series 90-30 data types is available. Both modules support Read and Write packets of up to 2000 discrete or 125 analog values. Easy setup and troubleshooting is provided via message reception LED's and Modbus Diagnostic and Exception commands. Report by Exception is supported by the RTU940.

The RTM705
supports Modbus protocol as a master. This allows it to communicate to
a variety of Modbus slave devices, such as Horner's RTU900 and 940.
The RTM705 is extremely flexible, offering RS-232 and RS-485 ports
with the capability of simultaneous communication on up to two ports.
The RTM can be configured to poll up to 32 slaves and supports RTU
mode (binary) and Modbus mode (ASCII). The RTM module is compatible with GE Fanuc's CPU331 and higher. Port connections are made to a single 25-pin connector, with a pinout that provides RS-232 signals for port one, and RS-232 and RS-485 signals for port two. A "Y" cable that separates port one signals from port two is included. Three LEDs visible through the front of the RTM provide module status and port status. Report by Exception is supported with this module.
